Future Hub was tasked with an important project by our client in Dubai – the installation of sensors on rail carriers to facilitate the movement of bridge structures and trigger tower lights when these structures approached obstacles.

Several challenges were encountered during the project’s planning:

    • Precision in Sensor Selection: Finding sensors that could accurately detect the distance between the carriers and potential obstacles.
    • Visibility and Effectiveness: Ensuring that the tower lights were not only visible from a distance but also highly effective.
    • Reliable Detection: Implementing a dependable system that could accurately detect obstacles while avoiding false alarms.

Solution

 Future Hub’s team devised an effective solution, utilizing technology and expertise:

  • Sensor Selection: We deployed 9 AUTONICS BX700-DFR sensors, strategically grouped in two sets – 4 and 5 sensors – on the carriers.
  • Tower Light Integration: Additionally, 2 Q-LIGHT tower lights were mounted on the carriers.
  • Precise Detection: The system was meticulously designed to activate the tower lights and sound an alarm when the bridge structures approached within a 50 cm proximity to obstacles.
  • Comprehensive Support: Our team managed all aspects, including wiring, system design, and provided on-site support throughout the installation process.
